		<description>I heard a radio bit about a year ago.  According to the experts interviewed in it, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese will most likely surpass English as the most common First Languages.  This is primarily due to the large number of peoples who grow up Chinese or Spanish/Latin.  However, for the vast majority of people for whom it isn&#039;t the First Language, English is the most common Second Language, by far.  And the gap is only increasing.  One of the reasons is the ease with which English can usurp words from other languages.
