Creating a Comic

I first heard about this Tom Rhodes joke from Andrew, who performed with him at Laughs Comedy Spot in Kirkland.

Brilliant. After the “My question is…” setup, an amateur or hack would have gone for the well-trodden “who was the first person to figure this out?” and then on from there. We’re expecting it to go there, and I’m sure there are some decent laughs down that route.

But comedy, like magic, is about misdirection, and Rhodes is a pro. He goes somewhere else with it entirely — somewhere filthy and hilarious.
