Holy crap, I stopped paying attention to them for a minute and suddenly robots can do this sort of shit:
When I showed this to a friend, he said “if those robot hands get a hold of a knife, we are straight-up fucked.”
He’s right, of course; on the other hand, maybe we can teach them to use their newfound powers for good. Imagine all the human time and energy we could save, for example, if we taught them to give tender handjobs. Of course, doing so would potentially put a lot of poor immigrant jack shack employees out of business… but such is the march of scientific progress.
Do not stand in the way of Science.
You should look up on the internet a show on the history channel called “That’s Impossible.”
It shows you all the cool things we can already do.
The craziest thing of this video to me, is to see how hard the robot has to work and move to do some of the simplist things we take for granted with our fingers.
The human body is the ultimate invention.

Thanks for the recommendation, I think. I’m looking at some “That’s Impossible” stuff and it’s awesome — and I have a feeling this is going to suck up a huge chunk of my evening.
