The Laughing Comic

Seattle area comedy lovers, you are in for a treat. Some of the funniest young comedians in the greater Puget Sound area have teamed up under the banner of the Laughing Comic, and will soon be playing at a venue near you.

Billed as “the best place to find Seattle Comedians,” their roster includes some incredibly talented comics. I can personally guarantee that Mike Corning, Andrew Rivers, and Kane Holloway will rock the house wherever they go. These guys are just flat-out hilarious. I haven’t yet had the pleasure of seeing Sean Anderson or Dan Sapegin, but I have it on good authority that they give a fantastic set, too.

To regular readers of my site: while I’ve been fortunate enough to become friends with a few of these fine fellows, I should distinguish that they’re all much, much further along in their comedy careers than little old open-mic me. These dudes are the real deal.

In addition to his profile at Laughing Comic, my friend Andrew maintains the frequently-updated The MisAdventures of Andrew J. Rivers blog. It’s all about his adventures in the world of stand-up comedy. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll ponder the meaning of life. Check it out!

  3. Wow! Thanks for the kind words! You write extremely well. What is your day job? Have you considered doing comedy writing? Do you play video games (I know a weird question but my husband is always looking for entertaining writers for his gaming website)?

  4. Larissa, thanks, that’s very flattering of you! I used to be an ardent gamer but my m4d sk1llz have fallen by the wayside recently. What’s his website? I’m not qualified to write for it but I’d love to check it out…

  5. Geez CJ, blowing gigs left and right. You take anything qualified or not. Nuclear phsyicist job opening up? I’m sure you can do better than Homer.

  6. i can personally testify that the Dan Sapegin you speak of is the epitome of hilarity. seriously though, thanks for the plug.

    Dan Sapegin

  7. Haha… hey there Dan, thanks for the comments.

Yes folks, it’s true: after originally posting this entry, I have since seen Dan Sapegin several times and I can indeed testify that he is hilarious. Last week I saw him crack up a room with nothing but comics in the audience—and if you’ve ever tried to do that, you know how tough a crowd we are.
