No, not a stand-up comedy job. Not yet. I got a part-time day job, as in “don’t quit your…”
I had hoped to put this off until sometime in 2010, but my recent faceplant and subsequent dental work forced the issue. Also, a comedian needs a car, and that’s something I have to start saving back up for1. I need a laptop, too. Also some new clothes. And I’m thinking that a raging heroin habit might be fun…
Anyway, the market for my itinerant consulting services has dried up as the economy has gone south, so it’s back to the salt mines for me. Since the job is part-time and during the day, it shouldn’t affect my stand-up, or regular blog posting.
My first shift starts in about an hour, and I’ll be working with my comedian friend Devin, who was kind enough to give me a heads-up about the opportunity at his office. Devin, I was just kidding about the heroin habit. For now. Probably.
- I’ll be getting a motorcycle, actually. Vroom vroom! [↩]

be careful. Motorcycles are dangerous.
