The title of this post is stolen shamelessly from the Hijinx Ensue comic, which offers us this brilliant commentary on Comedy Central’s new Jeff Dunham Show:

Some of the widespread jeering is undoubtedly due to envy over Dunham’s lucrative popularity (see also: Dane Cook, Larry the Cable Guy, etc.). On the other hand, the video clips from his new show are pretty awful.
I remember watching about half of Dunham’s first hour-long special and being entertained, if not exactly blown away. I only saw him working with the old man and the purple thing, though, so I didn’t “get” to see his more questionable material. Yikes. Rich white men need to learn that they don’t get to tell the same jokes about minorities that minorities tell about themselves.
