Last night was my first visit to Laughs Comedy Spot in Kirkland for their Tuesday night Open Mic. What a beautiful comedy club! The room, the stage, the management, and the wait staff were all superb; the $2 beers and “Starving Artist” food menu for the evening are particularly popular in these difficult times. The comics were solid, too; Jessie Case and Mike Cummings, in particular, both brought down the house with great material. Strongly recommended for your inexpensive but high-quality entertainment dollar.
I didn’t make it up on stage last night, but did have the chance to meet the very gracious David Dennison, the club owner, and I’m pretty sure I’m on the list for next Tuesday. I’ll confirm in this space as soon as I know for sure.
